Oh my... where do I even start with this wedding? The first time I met Luiz and Lo (the photographers of Lion Heart Images), I immediately knew we were destined to be friends. To say that I was honored to photograph the wedding of two photographers would be a serious understatement.

They are ridiculously talented photographers, graphic designers and even better friends. They love their friends and their families deeply, with an intentionality and passion that you don't see quite often. On a personal note, they have been such a dear blessing to me over the past few months when it was much-needed and sincerely appreciated. Now, enough with my words... enjoy this impeccably designed and emotion-filled wedding day. J

Sweet fall light and new friends : I can't get enough of it.

 

I'm LOVING this wedding -- we finally had gorgeous weather in Dallas after a few weekends of those lovely rain clouds. It was the perfect day to spend shooting around The Mansion with an awesome bride and groom and their incredible family and friends. Kelly and Cameron : we couldn't be any happier for you two! This summer after shooting two weddings on the East coast (and being completely exhausted from doing so), Blake and I spent a few days relaxing in Rockport, MA : my new favorite place to visit.  I rarely take pictures on vacation because lets face it... no one wants to do their job on vacation :) I'm so glad I made an exception for a day and took some photographs of this quaint little town.

We spent three full days eating lobster, whale watching, and reading books on the porch of the historic Emerson Inn - all wins in my book. Blake and I are REALLY good at relaxing and this was the perfect gift in the middle of such a crazy wedding season. We can't wait to hopefully take Baby Barfield there next summer and keep up our new family tradition in Rockport, MA.

PS- Whale watching was incredible/life-changing/beautiful/you need to do it if you haven't :)

 

   

Eek. I'm so excited to share these. The first time I met Skylar was at my senior prom 7 years ago... if she could still like me after my hot pink prom dress choice, then she's a real friend : ) I've had the JOY of seeing these two at weddings over the past few years (a lovely perk of my job!) and I've always loved how much fun Stephen and Skylar have together. They are just a fun, kind, precious couple and I was honored to photograph this special engagement season for them.

We shot these gorgeous images at Skylar's parents' home out near Eagle Mountain Lake... SO BEAUTIFUL! It was so fun getting to know their sweet family - I might just be back next Friday! Ha! Love you guys. - J
