Not only was Thomas and Caitlin's wedding this past weekend in Beaumont gorgeous, but it was also so special to photograph this day for dear friends. We met Thomas at Baylor and he has been a huge support to Blake and me for the last few years. They are loyal, kind, generous people and it was a joy to watch them take their vows. The reception was held at the beautiful Phelan Mansion, with soft hints of mint and peach accenting the white tent - LOVE! The incredible Dallas band, Signed, Sealed and Delivered (one of my favorites!) rocked the dance floor late into the night. (I'll go ahead and say you're welcome for the pictures at the end : ))

I'm am so excited to share Megan and Jonathan's beautiful wedding with you! Megan is most likely my oldest friend... I met her the day my family moved to Beaumont when I was 4 years-old. Her and her family have been a huge blessing to me throughout the years and I was thrilled to be able to photograph such a lovely and important day for them.  It was a blast!  Enjoy a few : ) J

 

((Brides, you'll recognize McKenzie if you've come over during the past year or so -- McKenzie has been my office manager/assistant for the past year and now she is engaged to Stephen, a catch of a guy)).

She has been a source of wisdom and encouragement to me and this business in countless ways. Many of the things I do in the office are because of Godly advice from and brainstorming sessions with McKenzie. I have so much to thank her for and shooting her engagement session and September wedding are practical ways I get to bless her in return.  I strive to do everything in Jess Barfield Photography above reproach and in ways to bless others and she has been a huge help in making that happen.  Obviously, I'm in love with this session (!)

There is a mutual respect, grace and sweet understanding between Stephen and McKenzie. They are a joy to photograph and even more fun to be friends with.

 

My precious niece, Emmy, is 6 months-old already! Wow, how the time flies. Lucky for her, she has an aunt that documents every move she makes when we have our girl-day-ins (because I'm still not confident nor have the car seat to take her anywhere :))  Her smile is pretty much the most beautiful thing on the planet and her laugh can turn any bad day right around. She is loved so dearly.

 

I am SO pumped to be shooting Tyler and Anna's hill country wedding next January!  They are a fun-loving, duck-hunting, quick-witted couple who I am seriously pumped to call my friends. We had a blast out at White Rock, meandering around some of my favorite fields and docks on the lake. Enjoy a few of my initial favorites! J
