I had been debating for awhile about holding an informal, practical workshop for beginning photographers and I am SO GLAD we did this! We talked about how second-shooting is a great way to gain experience and network with other photographers as well as going over my shooting style. At the end of the afternoon, we did a mini portrait session with my sweet friends, Bo and Courtney down the street.  It was a perfect day for a garden shoot. Just love these images and I am so thankful for everyone who came!

The day I met Lindsey and Robert, it was friends at first sight.  Lindsey planned and designed every girls' DREAM wedding. It was stunning in every way. The wedding was held at her uncle's lakeside Dallas home, with the ceremony down by the water and the reception near the house. I can confidently say that Lindsey and Robert's wedding day was the prettiest day of the year in Texas. The sun was warm, the wind was calm and the light was gorgeous.

Robert and Lindsey's wedding was inspired by Matisse - one of their favorite modern artists. The use of angled lines, tangerine colors and simplified shapes complimented the absolutely gorgeous backdrop of the lake and rolling hills. Lindsey wanted her day to be intimate, warm and subtly beautiful... and she accomplished it. Instead of having it catered, a food truck parked in the back yard (definitely some of the best wedding food I've had in awhile : )) The evening was topped off with a surprise firework show, bundt cakes and glow sticks. Robert and Lindsey - your wedding was one of the most lovely, intimate and simply gorgeous events I've ever been to. Thanks for having me be a part. For real. J

You might remember these sweet twins from their newborn shoot last year... look how much they've grown! I just love this family : )

Michael & Jessica's ranch wedding was nothing short of BEAUTIFUL. 

It was perfect: lots of crying, lots of family, sweet friends, I could just keep going... It was truly an incredible day with two precious people at the center of it all. I'm just blessed to have been there. Michael and Jessica: you two are legit. I'm so happy to call you my friends : ) Enjoy a few pictures of your wedding day!  J

I've known Emily since she was about nine years old and I'm blown away by the incredible, gorgeous woman she has grown up to be. Her and Dave have such a sweet, precious relationship and I was honored to take some engagement pictures for them. Y'all are just too cute for words.
