You'll be seeing this incredibly classy couple's wedding in just a short couple of months here on the blog. Thomas and I go way back -- back to the good 'ole Dia del 1oth street days in Wacky Waco. He snagged quite the catch when he proposed to Caitlin -- I mean, the girl is beautiful. And precious. I love them both if you can't tell.
I've felt so grateful the last few weeks. I'm grateful for so many things, but having the opportunity to photograph such solid, genuinely wonderful people has been way up there in the list of things to be thankful for. Luke and Rachel are those people and their precious little lab puppy, Tubs, is maybe the cutest thing I've ever seen (except for Charley of course). We had a warm, yet lovely evening just hanging out - when can we do it again? ; ) J
This wedding was just stunning -- the weather was beautiful so I stole Douglas and Kara away to take some pictures around Preston Hollow, and I'm slightly obsessed with the portraits...I think we have Mark Cuban's house to thank for lots of them : ) Stems of Dallas did a phenomenal job (as usual) with the flowers and in making Kara's spring wedding an absolutely gorgeous reality. A big thanks to the awesome bridal party as well. Can we all be friends? OK. It's a plan.
Douglas and Kara: you two are special to me. You've been thoughtful and kind, always looking to serve others before yourself. Now after meeting your friends and your families, I understand why. Thank you for inviting me into your lives during this priceless time. I hope these images express the depth of your love for each other and for the people you love. It was such an honor. There is NO better way to enjoy this spectacular weather than out at a ranch with friends. Whitney and Kyle - thanks for the laughs, the cookies, the dinner, and for just being awesome people in general. : ) J
I'm going to be honest here: I'm at a loss for words when describing this wedding... "romantic," lovely," and "enchanting " come to mind but none of them really do it justice. Everything was beautiful to photograph but truly, it was the bride and groom that made the difference. It was so clearly evident how much these two love each other and how loved they are by others. I completely understand after getting to know them better throughout their engagement -- they are selfless, kind, genuine people and I feel blessed to call them my friends. Their laid back, relaxed, incredibly romantic wedding was flawless in every way.
Can we do it again? : ) No really. --J
